Surface Pattern Design has been my passion for quite some time now, so I thought I’d treat you to a little analog tutorial. All you need is paper and a pen to create a pattern anywhere that can be made into a repeating tile pattern without a computer. You will eventually want to pull it into a computer to turn it into a pattern that can be uploaded to places like Zazzle or Spoonflower, but for now you can practice and test out ideas on paper!
Right click the image above and “save as” so you can print one out.
