| OUR HISTORY |
The Renaissance Chameleon was founded originally under the name Animal Cracker Studios back in 1986. An Architectural Design major, Ria's style was forced to evolve and adapt over the years as she became more 'technically inclined' from her Architectural studies and from working with AutoCAD.
Starting out primarily as a logo designer, Ria slowly began to develop her own product line; first retail and then establishing herself in the wholesale business with her first small line of notecards. The name The Renaissance Chameleon (TRC) was born in 1992 after a friend had made it a point to tell Ria that calling herself a "jack-of-all-trades" was too 'plain' for her straight-forward and larger-than-life nature. After a moment or two of thought, Ria was nicknamed a "Renaissance chameleon"; for being eclectic and for being able to adapt to just about any situation. Needless to say it stuck. TRC was shortened for Ria's online presence and eventually became the new nickname, Renmeleon.
Since then, Renmeleon's product line has grown to include not only the smaller, invitation-sized notecards that it was well-known for, but full-sized greeting cards, postcards, buttons, pocket mirrors, hand-painted items, and wall murals. A variety of services based on Ria's earlier days of logo design have been added as well.

| WHY A FIRE ANGEL? |
We have always had people ask us, "Why is your angel on fire?".
Well, she's not actually.
The angel used for Renmeleon's logo was originally drawn as an "Angel Elemental". Her element is obviously fire, but what does the fire stand for?
The fire angel stands for creative fire - the "fire in the belly" that cannot be put out. The creative energy tucked away inside that burns at you until you let it loose to express itself. She symbolizes the rebirth of the soul, just as a phoenix represents rebirth. A fire angel was the most appropriate symbol for us since Renmeleon is all about creative rebirthing - burning away the old while bringing about a new way of thinking.
...and yes, we had tried using a logo with a chameleon, an obvious choice considering the name, but we received too many calls from people who thought we were a reptile shop and decided that was definitely not the way to go. :)
Ria currently lives in North Central Florida.
